✦ Synopsis
Different types of graphite were irradiated either with pile neutrons (27°K and 77°K) or with electrons (20'4°K). Diagrams obtained from stress-annealed pyrographites, as deposited pyrographite and conventional nuclear graphite give a good definition of the released energy profile between 40°K and 670°K. They show a dependence on the ~aphitization degree. The three first stages of stored energy are analyzed in connection with the electrical resistivity anti-annealing stages. An evaluation of Frenckel's pair formation energy is given for both types of irradiations.
