Porphyrins are functional dyes with a variety of unique physical (photophysical), chemical and biological properties. We report on the first finding that porphyrin molecules dissolve single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) in organic solutions and that the SWNTs-porphyrin hybrid nanomaterials can be
