The ESR spectrum of the mixed alkali metal cluster, Na,K,, in an adamantane matrix prepared using a rotating cryostat has been observed. Its isotropic ESR parameters are g = 1.996, u(2Na) = 12.9 mT and &K) = 0.035 mT, indicating a SOMO with most of the unpaired spin density (82%) in the 3s orbitals
The cis-trans isomerism of N-methylformamide has been reexamined by IR and NMR spectroscopic methods with the help of relatively high level DFT calculation. The occurrence of the cis-form in the amide molecule has been verified undoubtedly and the abundance of the cis-form as a minor component was d
