โœฆ Synopsis

A single and repeated passage of anodic current acro88 teeth suspended in fluoride solutions or jluoride-dentifrice suspensions resulted in jluoride uptake by the teeth, a8 indicated by a positive change of poten, tial of the jluoride ion electrode in the electrolyte. Passage of cathodic currents across the teeth caused a loss of fluoride from the teeth to the electrolyte.

The uptake of zinc released from ZOE and Dispersalloy, and fluoride from ChemFil by different components of dentin was studied in ziitro. These materials were placed over a 500-prn layer of the dentin fraction in a simulated cavity, and the zinc and fluo- ride levels in the fraction and underlying s

Although there is interest in forming synthetic analogs of hard tissues at physiologic temperature, significant gaps in knowledge exist with respect to the mechanisms by which precursor solids convert to apatites and also with respect to the apatite compositions that may be formed. In this study cal
