## Abstract In this study, we examined whether a competitive AMPA receptor antagonist, NBQX, attenuates mechanical allodynia and hyperexcitability of spinal neurons in remote, caudal regions in persistent central neuropathic pain following spinal cord injury in rats. Spinal cord injury was produced
