The ionization potentials of Li. clusters are obtained by photoionization. Shell effects are observed at n= 8 and n=20, as well as strong odd/even alternations. The results are compared with both the spherical shell model and ab initio calculations.

## Abstract Multiphoton ionization of pyridineβammonia binary clusters was studied using a timeβofβflight mass spectrometer at 532 nm laser wavelength. The experimental results showed that the main products of the cluster ionization were the protonated cluster ions [(Py)~__n__~(NH~3~)~__m__~H]^+^.
