✦ Synopsis
Ultra-thin, uniform, pinhole-free solid polymer electrolyte films of approximately I,= thickness were prepared by the complexation of plasma polymerized dimethyl-2-[(2-ethoxyethoxy)ethoxy} vinylsilane (DEVS) and thermally vapor-deposited lithium iodide . The results of FT-ir and EPMA measurements indicate that the structure of the plasma polymerized DEVS is very similar to poly(DEVS) . Room temperature conductivities were as high as the order of 10 -6 S cm '(102 ohm cm2 resistance per unit area of as prepared solid polymer electrolyte).
