Abstract

Side reactions in the solution and in the resin phase and the special binding forces cause difficulties in measuring ion‐exchange equilibria with heavy metal ions. To avoid these difficulties special experimental conditions must be used. The ordinary batch method can be improved by taking successively samples of the solution.
