The conducting and dielectric properties of Li exchanged mixed Fe-Cr oxide pillared a-zirconium phosphate materials 1 are determined from a.c. measurements. The Li ion distribution shows a two-potential-well system associated with the two 1 kind of pores. The long displacement of Li across large pores is responsible for conducting properties, and the short hopping transition into small pores determines its dielectric behavior.
