SrericaIlT protected (E,E)-3,4-bis(2,4,6-tri-t-butyl-phenT1phosphinidene

)dialkylcyclobtitenes were isomerized to the corresponding (E,Z) derivatives in the presence of catalytic amounts of iodine. Similar iodine-induced isomerizations were observed in the case of (€1and (Z)-2-phenyl-l-(2,4,6-tri-t-butylphenyl)-lphosphaethenes.
