β¦ Synopsis
The present study deals with investigations on synthesis, characterization and hydrogenation behavior of the MmNi 5 -type hydrogen storage alloys Mm 0.9 Ca 0.1 Ni 4.9Γx Fe x Al 0.1 (x ΒΌ 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3). All the alloys are synthesized by radio frequency induction melting following the composite pellet route. The X-ray diffraction pattern of dehydrogenated alloy without iron, detects peaks corresponding to calcium hydride, which are absent in the XRD pattern of the alloy with iron. The hydrogenation behavior is monitored by means of activation curves, absorptionedesorption pressure-composition isotherms, hysteresis factors and desorption kinetic curves. The substitution of Iron at the place of nickel in the alloys Mm 0.9 Ca 0.1 Ni 4.9Γx Fe x Al 0.1 (x ΒΌ 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3) gives an increase in the hydrogen storage capacity as 1.82, 1.90, 2.2 and 1.95 wt% corresponding to x ΒΌ 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 respectively. The correlation between structural characteristics and hydrogenation behavior is described and discussed.

We report on an easy synthesis method for the preparation of a hybrid composite of Pt-loaded MWCNTs@MOF-5 [Zn 4 O(benzene-1,4-dicarboxylate) 3 ] that greatly enhanced hydrogen storage capacity at room temperature. To prepare the composite, we first prepared Pt-loaded MWCNTs, which were then incorpor
The Ti 1.4 V 0.6 Ni ribbon alloy and AB 3 -type (La 0.65 Nd 0.12 Mg 0.23 Ni 2.9 Al 0.1 ) alloy ingot are prepared by melt-spinning technique and induction levitation melting technique, respectively. The Ti 1.4 V 0.6 Ni ΓΎ 20 wt.% AB 3 mixture powders are synthesized by ball-milling the above prepared
As candidates for hydrogen storage materials, Ti-doped pyracylenes, with a carbon atom replaced with a Ti atom, have been studied with density functional theory based method. Ti-doped pyracylene III with the Ti atom lying on a pentagon is the most stable isomer with substitutional energy of 4.73 eV
