✦ Synopsis
Crystal microstructures, pure and doped with K20 or Na20 13-C2S, were studied by HREM. The results show that the twin was not observed in pure I3-C?S. After doping, many (100) twins were produced and evidence of the existence of (001) twins was observed.

The preparation method of 8-C2S without stabilizer, and their hydration characteristics were studied. 8-C2S is formed when y-C2S is heated at about 1000°C or about 1500\*C. The hydration kinetics of 8-CaS produced from ~'-CaS is markedly different from that from ephase. Ca(OH) 2 is hardly produced
The final hydrated product of B-C2S is identical to the natural mineral tobermorite 5CaO. 6SiO.5-7H20 and not the tobermorite-like phase 3CaO. 2SiOp.3HgO as stated earlier . The mechanism of the hydration react -ion is f~llo~ed up to 3.5 years. The suggested mechanism is based on the extraction of t
