Abstract
The design of a lowβvoltage lowβpower wideband mixer for radioβfrequency applications is presented in this Letter. Two different inputβmatching topologies are employed to see the effects of the matching on the mixer's wideband performance. The new strategy of midway matching is proven to be satisfactory for the wideband applications. Simulations are based on a 0.25βΞΌm CMOS process. A simulated SSB noise figure of 10.3 dB, a conversion gain of 9.4 dB, and a power consumption of 8.3 mW are among the main achievements. Β© 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
