✦ Synopsis
Microscale liquid chromatographic techniques have recently been developed [l-31 which require only small quantities of sample, carrier and packing materials. Moreover, the associated instrumental components can be simplified compared with those of the ordinary high performance liquid chromatographs on the market. Consequently, it is very easy to combine liquid chromatography with spectrometric techniques such as mass Spectrometry and infrared spectrometry [4].
This study investigates the broadening effect caused by the tube connecting a micro high performance liquid chromatograph with a spectrometric instrument.
