The elastic analysis of an infinite plate containing a rigid line and acted upon by concentrated forces is presented. The proposed problem can be considered as a superposition of several particular problems, which can all be solved by conformal mapping techniques using in complex variable functions.

โฆ Synopsis
The ei~function expansion variational method (abbreviated as EEVM) is propomd to determine the stress singukity codkients for a finite plate containing the rigid line. In the method, the undetermined codicients in the truncated eigenfunctioa expansion form arc determined by using the variational method. To explain the use of this method, several numerical examples are piven.
