✦ Synopsis
The influence of hydrostatic pressure up to 5 kbar on the paraelectricferroelectric phase transitions in (BaxSr 1 _x)TiO 3 ceramics (x = 0.05, 0.06) as well as on the maximum of the dielectric constant of a SrTiO 3 single crystal induced by a dc electric field is investigated. When, due to the influence of pressure, the maxima of the dielectric constants are shifted to the temperature range T < 15 K, Tc(p) and Tin(p) dependences for (BaxSr 1 _OTiO3 and Sr TiO3, respectively, are observed which are different from those which are characteristic for sharp transitions of the first and second kinds. This behavior is assumed to be due to the presence of regions of different phase-transition temperatures in the samples.
