Abstract
A behaviour of the selected aliphatic diacids upon the chromatographic paper Whatman 2 was discussed and the obtained results were correlated with the specific symmetry properties of the diacids. The model of intermolecular interactions was assumed, able to explain both the behaviour of the discussed diacids upon the chromatographic paper and their solubility in acetone, and the other polar solvents. A suggestion was made to employ the obtained results when establishing the new method of investigating intermolecular interactions upon the chromatographic paper.
