## Abstract ## Background The Neuropsychiatric Inventory (NPI) is an interviewβbased instrument designed to elicit information from an informal caregiver to evaluate behavioral disturbances in persons with dementia. Minor modifications of this instrument have produced the Neuropsychiatric Inventor
