This paper proves that the concepts of intuitionistic fuzzy sets and intuitionistic L-fuzzy sets and the concept of L-fuzzy sets are equivalent.

A definition of the concept βintuitionistic fuzzy setβ (IFS) is given, the latter being a generalization of the concept βfuzzy setβ and an example is described. Various properties are proved, which are connected to the operations and relations over sets, and with modal and topological operators, defined over the set of IFS's.

The purpose of this communication is to demonstrate the fact that fuzzy rough sets in the sense of Nanda and Majumdar [Fuzzy Sets and Systems 45 (1992) 157] are, indeed, intuitionistic L-fuzzy sets developed by Atanassov [VII ITKR's Session; Fuzzy Sets and Systems 20 (1986) 87].
In this article we exploit the concept of probability for defining the fuzzy entropy of intuitionistic fuzzy sets ~IFSs!. We then propose two families of entropy measures for IFSs and also construct the axiom definition and properties. Two definitions of entropy for IFSs proposed by Burillo and Bust
