The reviewer is of the opinion that new taxa should be described in scientific journals and not in books. Frieg and Rice consider 'The subgeneric ckisdbtion of Arenobuliminu' in a most unsatisfactory way. Three new. species are erected but one (Violovella praefrmkei) has no hdotype defined, while the other two, (ArenobulmiM ( S o b u l k ) gaworbiedowae and Arenobulmina (Pastemkia) barnar&) are each illustrated with only one indierent figure. Most of the discussion of other species does not .consider type material and details of variability are given in a very subjective way. By contrast, the paper by Mojab on 'Middle Eocene assitinid foraminifera from Iran' gives measurements
