✦ Synopsis

This special issue of Behavioral Sciences & the Law (BS&L) examines socio-legal issues related to employment discrimination. Within the context of employment discrimination, there is a speci®c focus on issues related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Although an American piece of legislation, the ADA re¯ects policy choices regarding workers that is being examined closely by those outside the US. Thus, the ADA may become a model for laws and policies to protect workers throughout the world.

The issue begins with an introduction and overview of a special section on employment and the ADA. The special section on ADA constitutes the bulk of the employment discrimination issue.
