โฆ Synopsis
The geometrical requirements of naphtbalene-aliphatic amine exciplexes have been iuvestigatod in a study of the intramolecular interactions of various naphthylalkylamines. The nitrogen atom of the amine probably occupies a position on the periphery of naphthalene. near C-l. The naphthyl-methylamines do not form exciplexes because of restricted overlap but the fluorescence of the naphthalene is quenched efficiently by the amine.
