โœฆ Synopsis

Intramole.cular photoinduced charge separation is investigated. From a dichotomous model for the solvent dynamics, analytical approximations are derived for several limiting cases. The transition between static disorder to fast fluctuating solvent motion is discussed. Multiexponential behaviour is most prominent in the fast reaction limit.

The femtosecond dynamics of 4-(N,N-dimethylamino)-4'-cyanostilbene (DCS) in acetonitrile and methanol solvent was studied by fluorescence upconversion and pump-probe absorption spectroscopy. The spectral evolution observed provides strong evidence for a fast internal charge-transfer (CT) process dom

The photophysical properties of a bicyclohexylidene (1 DA) and a bicyclohexyl (2 DA) substituted with an anilino electron donor and a dicyanoethylene electron acceptor have been studied. Quenching of local donor emission is observed for these compounds as well as quenching of the ยชpseudo-localยบ acce
