✦ Synopsis
Angle-resolved photoemission spectra were measured for an oriented film of a model compound of polyethylene (hexatriacontane n-CH,( CH2) s4CH3) using synchrotron radiation. The photon energy (hv) dependence of the normal emission spectra was confirmed to be due to intramolecular energy-band dispersion, and the dispersion over the whole Brillouin zone was determined.
