It’s November in New York City. Two VIPs are staying in separate hotels in Manhattan; one is the governor of a nearby state, charming, highly ambitious and ruthless. The other is a petulant and entitled Hollywood heir. The only similarity between the two men is they both have unusually heavy security for their brief visits. But despite sudden, violent incidents involving them both that take place within an hour, NYPD cop Sam Archer and his colleagues working the case are unable to find any link between the pair. The bigger the threat to his own life and to those around him, the more Archer starts to understand the scale of the evil they’re dealing with, as everything starts to come into focus.

The question is, whether that happens soon enough for him to do anything about it.
