We develop an intersection theory for deรฟnable C p -manifolds in an o-minimal expansion of a real closed รฟeld and we prove the invariance of the intersection numbers under deรฟnable C p -homotopies (p ยฟ 2). In particular we deรฟne the intersection number of two deรฟnable submanifolds of complementary d
