The high-T c mechanism of the oxide superconductors has been studied by measuring optical reflection spectra over a wide wavelength range at various temperatures. The superconducting gap was found at 225 cm L in Ba2YCu3068 which give the value 3.57 of 2A/k 8T c. Two gaps were found in Lai 85Sr0 ~sCu
To study the superconducting-gap symmetry in electron-doped HTSC, we performed a high-resolution ARPES on Pr 0.89 LaCe 0.11 -CuO 4 (optimally-doped, T c = 26 K). Obtained momentum dependence of the superconducting gap is basically consistent with the d x 2 รy 2 -wave symmetry, but obviously deviates
The van Hove singularity can enhance structural and magnetic instabilities, which can compete with superconductivity. Evidence for such instabilities, including dynamical fluctuations and pseudogaps, is presented.
