✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The short‐range order contribution to the internal energy in Ising models is calculated in an effective type treatment. However, the method incorporates correlation effects through a phenomenological approach and the results obtained are an improvement over other effective field calculations when compared with exact (z = 4) or series results (z = 6).
