✦ Synopsis
Measurements of polarization mode dispersion and intermodal
waveguide dispersion in optical fibers have been carried out over a wavelength range of 790-850 nm in the near-infrared. The measurements used a frequency-domain interferometric technique studying the spectral modification to sub-100-fs pulses from a self-modelocked Ti:sapphire laser after propagation in an optical fiber.
