Following the success of the Basic Kanji Book vols. 1 and 2, the same team of authors presents a set of kanji workbooks for intermediate and advanced students of Japanese. Excerpts from major Japanese newspapers and various publications in different subjects including science, technology, politics, education, and psychology help students to learn new characters that are necessary for everyday reading, and to develop their vocabulary. Introduces 667 new characters that are often found in newspaper articles and more specialized reading materials, and also includes the 500 basic characters covered in the first series. Appropriate for both classroom use and self-study. The characters selected here correspond to the second level of the Japanese Proficiency Test. Entirely in Japanese.
