A subpopulation of interleukin 2 (IL 2) receptor-positive day 14-15 murine fetal thymocytes can be induced by recombinant IL 2 to proliferate over prolonged time periods in dissociated cell cultures. The proliferating day 14-15 fetal thymocytes exhibit no cytolytic effector function, nor do they rea
