โฆ Synopsis
A solution to the interJection problem in rooms lit by peaked ceilings is incestiyated. The integral equation for interjlections in the peaked ceiling is formulated. A method ~fsoluin~g the integral equation by employing linear approximations is dez;eloped. This ,shows /hat unijtirm incident light on the peaked ceiling will result in nonuniformity. An equation is dericed which gives the degree oj'nonun@wity in the incident light requiredfor a uniform ceiling. The actual incident distribution of'ligllt,~om,puorescent lamps is expressed simply in prolate spheroidal coordinates.

Previous interflectance tables have dealt principally with three basic types of lighting (Types I, II, and III). The present paper extends the scope of the interflection method by showing how it can be applied to rooms lighted by hanging luminaires. It is found that most cases arising in practice ca
