Two kinds of nongraphitizable carbon were applied as active materials of negative electrodes in Li-ion batteries. The thermal properties of cycled electrodes mixed with or without commercial 1 M LiPF 6 /EC-DMC electrolyte were investigated by TG-DSC from room temperature to 400 β’ C at a heating rate
route [23]. After heating at 120 C for 2 days and then sintering at 750 C for 4 h, these plates were cut into small sections, which were then sintered at 900 C for 12 h to decrease the sizes of the voids. The 1.5 mm thick plates were infiltrated with nickel (ca. 100 lm) using the previously describe
