✦ Synopsis

A rapid and accurate AA spectrophototnetric method has been devised for assaying vitamin Bg in B complex and multivitamin preparations. Solutions containing 10 mcg./ml. or 5 mcg./ml. of vitamin Ba are prepared in glycerinated 0.1 N HC1 and phosphate buffer a t pH 7, and the absorbance is read a t 328 mp using 0.1 N HC1 solution as blank. Results are evaluated after applying correction for absorbance of plain buffers. The method is not applicable when flavors and emulsifying agents are present together.
