✦ Synopsis
The influence of the interphase adsorption on the retention of polar and non-polar analytes analyzed in glass capillary columns with the non-cross-linked and y-irradiated cross-linked OV-1 stationary phase has been studied. The separation systems are characterized by a low contribution of adsorption to the retention of polar analytes, which is for film thicknesses above 0.3 pm less than 0.3% and upon cross-linking the stationary phase decrease further by lO_90% of this value. This enables high reproducibility of retention indices of the substances analyzed. The invariant retention indices of polar analytes in systems with both types of OV-1 stationary phases correspond to 0.4 i.u.
