โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
Four rhesus monkey pituitary glands were examined by transmission electron microscopy. Three types of intercellular junctions, desmosomes, hemidesmosomes and zonula adherensโtype junctions, were observed between adjacent granular cells, folliculoโstellate cells, and joining a folliculostellate cell with a granular cell. Desmosomes were most commonly observed between granular cells while the zonula adherensโtype junctions were generally found between the folliculoโstellate cells.
