Application . Phosphorus and copper deficiency in maritime pine seedlings on sandy soil of S.W . France cannot be rectified by single phosphorus or copper applications because of reciprocal inhibition in nutritional processes and copper toxicity . Better growth was obtained when a combination of phosphorus and copper were applied together because of a phosphorus x copper interaction .
