โฆ Synopsis
System 100 is a computer-assisted drafting system incorporating a digitizer, minicomputer, c.r.t, display, magnetic tape unit and a graph plotter. Producing a finished drawing with System 100 involves three basic steps: entering the rough sketch into the computer; proofreading and if necessary, editing; and producing the finished drawing. The process of composing drawings is simplified by the use of menu techniques and the free moving cursor on the digitizer.
The Datagrid digitizer is a coordinate measuring unit consisting of a work-surface with pedestal base, a frec moving cursor, a display and control panel. The advantages of this all-electronic device over more conventional mechanical digitizers, include: no mechanical wear, a resolution of -+0.001 in and an accuracy of -+0.005 in and inherent stability with no adjustments or re-calibrations required. In addition, cursor tracing speeds up to 300 in/s can be attained with simultaneous two dimensional measurements.
The digitizing areas that are available are: 30 in x 36 in, 36 in x 48 in and 42 in x 60 in.
The 16-bit minicomputer has a dual disc file for the receipt of data from the digitizer. In addition, as data is entered it is displayed on the c.r.t, at which point it can be edited, if required. After editing, the completed drawing may be output on a plotter or
