✦ Synopsis

Infrared absorption spectra (400-4000 cm -1) of C60 solvate crystals grown in benzene, toluene, chlorobenzene, decalin and n-decane have been measured in the temperature range 90-300 K. Chemical reactions of C6o with decalin and n-decane are observed. Interactions between C6o and solvent molecules have an influence on the infrared bands assigned to the C-H stretching vibrations. Solvent effects are also observed in the temperature dependence of the C60 infrared bands.
