## Abstract An electrophoretic characterization of histones from pyloric caeca, testes, and sperm of __Asterias vulgaris__ revealed a sperm/testes‐specific variant of histone H1 significantly larger than its somatic counterpart from pyloric caeca. Additional proteins were observed in H1 regions of
