✦ Synopsis
Interactions of aliphatic amines with chloranil and 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-p-benoquinone have been examined by employing a conductometric technique. The stoichiometries, cry and arvalues of the complexes are reported. The (or values reflect electron affinity of acceptors with a fixed electron donor and the donor strength of donors with a fixed electron acceptor. CM values do not exhibit a definite order. Effect of solvent and temperature on the oP values of the complexes has been studied.
