✦ Synopsis


Angular distributions of elastically scattered 8 He ions on 4 He and on protons at the beam energy of 26 MeV/n are presented. An attempt to observe a backward-angle rise of the 8 He + 4 He cross-section is reported. The forward-angle 4 He data are analyzed with a double folding, density dependent model. Finite range DWBA was applied in order to estimate the contributions from the transfer reactions. It was found that the 2-step process is more important than the 1-step transfer. It seems that eikonal approximation is applicable for the description of elastic scattering 8 He + p at this energy.
