Abstract
This paper reports the digitized image matching of intensityβbased signals generated by the POLIVIEW imaging system for regular firearms. The POLIVIEW imaging system transforms nonlinearized models into linearized models by applying a differential matching method. This paper also discusses the performance of the computer program for determining the peaks of the histograms generated and their threshold segmentation for matching. This method can be used to generate corroborative evidence in solving crimes. Β© 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this article, we propose a new method to retrieve images containing a request set of regions. The user is asked to specify a set of regions belonging to a single image. Then this request set of regions is compared to the sets of the regions of the images in the database. We propose a comparison m
## Abstract In this paper, a synthesis method developed in the last few years is applied to derive a cellular nonβlinear network (CNN) able to find an approximate solution to a variational imageβfusion problem. The functional to be minimized is based on regularization theory and takes into account
A dvanced video surveillance applications require two successive phases: image analysis and content understanding. The first phase analyzes and extracts the characteristics of the video sequence. It defines the regions or the objects of interest according to their spatial/ temporal properties. This
In this paper, an important aspect in creating a symbolic image database (SID), useful for exact match retrieval is addressed. The problem in conventional pairwise spatial relationships (particularly the 9DLT matrix) based approach for representing symbolic images in SID is discussed. An efficient m
