pressure from multinational licensees of the Fairtrade label to reduce the minimum Fairtrade coffee price. Jaffee hints that FLO may capitulate. In fact, FLO in December 2007 actually raised the Fairtrade minimum coffee price.

Both books were a fascinating and stimulating read but, for me, a fair trade scholar and sometime practitioner, Jaffee's book rings more true to what I perceive to the reality and challenges of fair trade today.
