## Abstract Cultivation of primary human liver cells in innovative 3D perfusion multi‐compartment capillary membrane bioreactors using decentralized mass exchange and integral oxygenation provides in vitro conditions close to the physiologic environment in vivo. While a few scale‐up bioreactors wer
