✦ Synopsis
In this article we describe our experience in integration of the chemical engineering unit operations laboratory using an industrial distributed control system (DCS). We discuss the positive effect that the new control and data acquisition technology has on our curriculum, and outline some directions for the future. Examples of the students' projects that essentially rely on the DCS are also given.
