The Victor Reinz US gasket products should remain available through Clevite sales outlets, following the sale of the business by Dana Corporation.
Victor Reinz currently sells gasket products, produced in North America for the aftermarket business segment, exclusively through the Clevite sales and distribution organization. Dana Corporation has entered an agreement with Mahle GmbH on the sale of the engine hard parts business segment. As part of the sales negotiations with Mahle, it was agreed that the distribution agreement in which Victor Reinz sells gasket products, produced in North America for the aftermarket, exclusively through the Clevite sales and distribution organisation, should continue unchanged. This means that Clevite will continue to sell Reinz gaskets, the American product range, in the aftermarket segment in the US and Canada.
This does not concern the distribution of the European gasket products. These will continue to be available through the North American sales partners of Reinz. Because Dana Corporation is a debtor in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, this arrangement is subject to the approval of the Bankruptcy Court.

This gasket arrangement is designed for use as a replacement inlet manifold gasket on used vehicles. It is specifically intended for use with corroded or pitted flanges. A shim ( 36) is used to cover the damaged surface. An adhesive layer ( 14) is used to seal the shim to the damaged surface.
