## Abstract In this note we give a positive answer to the following question posed by A. Pietsch: Is there for all __p, q__ ∈ (1, ∞) a continuous kernel __K__ such that the associated integral operator __T~K~__ : __L~q~__([0, 1]) β†’ __L~p~__([0, 1]) fails to be nuclear?
