β¦ Synopsis
Self-priming centrifugals deliver high heads
There are certain liquid applications, such as irrigation and refuelling, where a pump needs to be both self-priming and capable of delivering a high head. However, many self-priming pumps have an open impeller-construction and this limits the available pressure from the pump.
The new range of Alpha 0R.A C series pumps has been designed and manufactured to solve this problem. A modified housing and closed impeller means that these pumps retain the characteristics of the self-priming centrifugal pumpwith the ability to deliver high heads up to 100 m.
Recently introduced by Rump Engineering, these centrifugal pumps are available in sizes from 1% in -4 in and in addition to high heads are capable of delivering flow rates up to 3000 l/min.
Alpha ORA-C pumps are available in cast iron, with cast iron or bronze impellers, stainless steel shafts and a wide range of mechanical seals. They can be supplied as bareshaft or motor-driven units with special versions available depending on the application.
