In this paper the authors exhibit a family of 4-dimensional compact soivemanifolds. Each member MS(k) of the family possesses all of the topological properties of a compact K~ihler manifold, yet MS(k) can have no complex structure. The proof uses Kodaira's classification of compact surfaces.
